CIOs: Robert Jaspar, Senior Vice President, Information Technology, PotashCorp Al Shpyth, Vice President, Business Technology Services, Cameco Corporation Kevin Peacock, Branch Manager of the Corporate Information Services Branch, City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada Moderator: Dean Hartley, I.S.P. is the Vice President of Information Technology for the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA). Dean's current focus at SIGA is bringing a strategic focus to the IT division, fostering process improvement and providing leadership through the Senior Executive team. Dean has the I.S.P. (Information Systems Professional) designation and currently holds the position of Vice President, CIPS Saskatchewan. CIOs: As Senior Vice President, Information Technology, Robert Jaspar is responsible for ensuring that computer systems efficiently address the information needs of PotashCorp's customers and employees. His involvement with the company began in 1990 when he worked at a public accounting and consulting firm, devoting significant time to his largest client, PotashCorp. He joined the company as an internal auditor in 1997, rising to Director, Internal Audit and Vice President, Internal Audit. Al Shpyth has a bachelors of arts degree in economics and environmental studies from the University of Saskatchewan and a masters in environmental studies from York University in Toronto. He has worked in both the public and private sectors in a variety of ever more senior positions. Since 1996 he has been with Cameco Corporation where in October 2007 he was appointed vice president, business technology services, with responsibility for information technology, business processes and applications, and IT governance, risk and compliance. Kevin Peacock has been in the IT industry for thirty five years and has had employment experience in both the public and private sectors and also spent a little time in the consulting business. He has been employed by the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada for the past nineteen years. He is the Branch Manager of the Corporate Information Services Branch (The IT Branch for the City) and has been in that position for ten years. |
